LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) is the most wide-spread "alternative" fuel for vehicles in the UK - and for good reason: LPG autogas is a greener, cleaner and cheaper fuel for vehicles.
An LPG system can be installed on most petrol engined cars and vans and you can immediately reap the benefits of LPG motoring - costing half the price - it's a clear winner for your pocket and for the environment. Plus, there are over 1,200 filling stations retailing LPG (also known as Autogas) in the UK and that number is growing every day.
Almost every LPG Conversion or Autogas Conversion is of the 'dual fuel', that is petrol operation is retained giving you the choice of which fuel to use. MOTs and servicing are not affected by the changes.
The majority of Petrol engines can be converted, from supercharged racecars to small family hatchbacks. Petrol boats are also available for conversion.
LPG Safety.
LPG is safer than petrol. It is stored in sealed steel tanks compared to the plastic tanks of petrol. We fit LPG conversions and components that conform to the European 67R01 standards.
