Cost: Standard Hand Controls are free of charge when ordered at the same time as your new Motability Lease Car. If you require an indicator switch fitted to your hand controls, there is an additional charge which is payable to the garage when collecting your new car.
Jeff Gosling Hand Controls
The Jeff Gosling System III Control with L.I.P.S is a push/pull
hand control, using coxial bearing races at its main pivot point giving a remarkably
smooth pivotal operation with no unwanted freeplay.
An optional Indicator Switch can be fitted in to the top of the handle for simple operation
during acceleration, braking and cornering.
Techmobility Hand Controls
The Techmobility combined push/pull hand controls provide a comfortable and discrete means of
control of the braking and accelerating pedals. The single lever system can be fitted to
virtually all make of vehicles. This clever design ensures that the rods and linkages do
not impede the performance of the vehicle in any way.
They are installed in the lower steering column cowling thus ensuring greater safety and
comfort for the driver, both when driving and when getting in and out of the vehicle.
An optional Indicator Switch can be fitted in to the top of the handle for simple operation
during acceleration, braking and cornering.
Bekker Hand Controls
Bekker hand controls have been manufactured for
over 30 years and we have never experienced a vehicle
that Bekker hand controls cannot be fitted to. They
benefit from having a positive feel to braking and accelerating with a
good range of adjustability to hand reach.
Brig Ayd Hand Controls
These push/pull hand controls benefit from only having one brake rod in sight
and can be fitted to a wide range of vehicles.
Elap/Bekker Hand Controls
The Elap Multi-Drive Push Pull Hand Controls are Bekker Hand controls with the advantage of a wider range of multiplex cars able to be fitted with an indicator switch.
Hand Brake Easy Release
Cost: Hand Brake Easy release controls are free of charge when ordered at the same time as your new Motability Lease Car.
Designed for people with left hand mobility difficulty or for people who need to operate the parking brake with their right hand.
This simple devices eliminate the need to depress the release button on the parking brake. The standard easy release lever can be customized and extended if required for additional cost (vehicle needs to be at our workshop and customer assesment required).
If a handbrake easy release is not suitable an Electric Handbrake can often be fitted. A small linear actuator is attached to the underside of handbrake lever to move it up and down. This is controlled by switches which can be situated either in the dash or centre console to suit the driver.
